Hi everyone!
It’s Trystan here with another fabulous QUOTE OF THE WEEK!!!
Today we are exploring a beautiful quote by a well-known artist:
Thank you, Pablo Picasso, for the brilliant and heartfelt words. As you may know, Pablo Picasso was a highly successful Spanish artist. He published an abundance of amazing pieces of art including paintings, poetry, sculptures, and playwrights. Much of his art was inspired by significant life events, personal experience, and the culture and politics of his time. His paintings alone show how magnificent Picasso’s imagination was and how he allowed his craft to flourish.
One admirable trait that I love about Pablo Picasso was his dedication and perseverance. All throughout his life, he continued to do what he loved even in the face of adversity. Picasso focused on his desires and kept them alive inside of him which allowed him to continue cultivating and mastering his craft. He allowed himself to express what was going on inside of him, what he felt, what he loved, and what he imagined. He imagined what he wanted to express, and let the paintbrush do the rest.
This is just like each and every one of your lives right now. You are all the painters of your own pieces of art. You are all the painters of your own lives. You paint whatever it is you are focusing on, whatever it is you are BEing, thinking, feeling, and believing. AND the best part is: YOU CHOOSE! Just like Picasso chose to be a painter because it is what he LOVED to do, it called to him…and when you are being LOVE and choosing APPRECIATION, what you DO becomes much more fun, magnificent, creative, playful, and beautiful! It’s the Law! (Law of Attraction). So if you can imagine what it is that you want and see yourself living that life, or doing that thing, then focus on it because if it is real inside of you, it becomes real on the outside of you too (Law of Reflection).
I’ll tell you all one thing I’ve been dancing with these past few weeks…love. Unconditional love. For myself. I began to notice in what areas of my life I was lacking love for myself. If I made a mistake, said a “wrong” answer in class, felt sad, felt angry, felt afraid, there were voices inside telling me that it was “not okay”, or it was “not good enough” and therefore I’m “not loveable”. I realized these voices inside my head are not ME. They are voices from others from my past that are no longer serving me. I began to allow myself to release the voices, forgive them, forgive myself, and focus on loving myself anyway. WOW! Being unconditional love for myself has been AWESOME! I have noticed such a beautiful and magnificent change in myself and my life. YAY!
Thank you all for playing with me today!
Remember to PAINT a peaceful and fulfilling three-day weekend.
Happy Veteran’s Day!
With peace and love,
